I also like to use these Flickr showcases as a shameless plug for some other places on the web where you can find me. Be sure to check out DesignSomething author on Twitter.

Awesomely Designed Band T-shirts

I’d be willing to bet you remember the first band t-shirt you ever owned. You might even remember whether it was rock-on love at first sight at the Khol’s you’ve just been dragged around 3 times by your mother, that you just HAD TO HAVE, or if it was a gift from the uncle that your family doesn’t really talk to too much anymore, probably for the same reasons that he just gave you an ABBA t-shirt for your 13th birthday. I remember mine, I was actually 15 and was rockin’ out to a local band at a small venue in NY. The folded, utilitarian dark blue and chartreuse T, brandishing the clever band name across the chest spoke to me of it’s originality and truth.  “Circadian Rhythm” it said in handwritten typographic glory. I wore that shirt till it relinquished it’s seams and stitches and fell to the ground in a tattered clump the last time I went to put it on.

Here is a selection beautiful shirts I’ve found over the past few days that demonstrate the artistry and passion that are behind the music I love. Thanks Jared, for letting me contribute!

Incubus: Love Hurts

Cage the Elephant:Natural

Owl City:Winterbirds

Anberlin: Motif

Atreyu: Dust Cloud

Run DMC: Classic

The Used: Goodbye to You(Ramble)

Linkin Park: Midnight Photo

Atreyu:Ribzzz

A Day To Remember: Pac Man

Armor For Sleep: Camera Shy

Brand New: Typography

Bayside: Shudder Bird

Thursday: Exploding Man

Bring Me The Horizon: Dinosaur

Avenged Sevenfold: Land of Cain

Enter Shikari: Juggernaught

The Gallows: Grey Britain
